Metro TRIF
About
While researching our response to this RFP, we found it surprisingly difficult to understand the full impact of the Metro Transit Infrastructure Fund (MTIF) on our community. The only available resource was a spreadsheet listing award dates, with unclear locations and minimal descriptions of the improvements.
Millions of dollars are being invested, yet even our team—the deeply passionate folks at UFF and SnellBeast—struggled to track where these funds were making a difference. But as we dug deeper, spending days tracing awarded projects across the internet, we were floored by the scale of the improvements. This program has had a profound impact.
Take, for example, the 2023 Camargo Rd to Euclid improvement: new sidewalks, a repaved road, and a stop sign transformed the area, making it safer and more accessible for residents walking or driving. Or the sidewalk improvements in Delhi, where we followed a lead to a dad and his kids who can now safely walk and bike to the library—a trip that wasn’t possible before. Delhi Pike now has a safe sidewalk, allowing Ned and his sons to roll to the park, the library, or even for an ice cream run. We were so moved by this story that we interviewed Ned as part of our RFP research—his experience is included in our examples.
And that’s just one project. With this program Metro has redefined itself as more than just a bus system—it’s a true mobility company.
We would be honored to help document the MTIF project and bring these powerful community stories to life. This project is an opportunity to celebrate public transit, the people it serves, and the lasting benefits it brings to our neighborhoods.
